George was originally an educator, having earned a diploma in science education. George and Beatrice were called to ministry before they came together, Beatrice was a pastor of a Church she planted in 1984. George had a tremendous encounter with Lord in 1985, when he was a science school teacher. In 1988 they came together in marriage, their marriage multiplied their efforts. George was trained in Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology. He holds a Diploma in Education (Dip. Ed), B.A. Bible and Theology, Master’s Divinity (M. Div). Beatrice holds a Certificate in Agriculture, Diploma in Theology, B.A in Theology and an extended ministerial training from Faith International Training School (FITS) in The US-NJ.

George has been pastoring since 1986 and was ordained by Elim Fellowship in 1996. This couple’s present day ministry is in Kampala, a city of 3 million people. As the senior pastor of the Elim Church in Kawanda, George and Beatrice also organize and lead the Light Evangelical Theological School (a bible school for pastors in training from Uganda and nearby countries). He is also the district overseer for the Wakiso District and is the central overseer for central Uganda, oversight of numerous smaller churches in the area. They are also involved with numerous ministry projects including providing free nursery and primary school for local Muslim communities as an evangelism tool, a computer skills training center, the Grace House project for young girls disowned by their families for their faith, a sewing school for women, a potable water tank project for area communities, a prophetic school, and an international ministry for evangelism. His teaching and traveling has taken him to the Northwest University in South Africa and to New Zealand. This is his fourth trip to the US for teaching and general ministry. George is a writer, lecturer, prophetic speaker, counselor and is involved in radio ministry.

In early 2007 and again currently in 2010, revival has broken out in their ministry, and he has been taking this revival to many places in Uganda, New Zealand and here in the US. He has been eagerly welcomed to minister in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Virginia, and New York.

Hi my name is Rev. Derrick West. I am an Evangelist with the Assemblies of God. I now reside in Watertown N.Y with my wife Nicole. I was raised in Florida with a father who was addicted to crack/cocaine. Over time I too found myself in a life of drugs and violence. I sold drugs for 12 years and fell prey to gang affiliation and drug addiction. In my mind there was no escape from the life that I thought chose me. But unbeknown to me, I was being prayed for. And because of that I found my savior Jesus Christ who set me free from gangs, addiction, and sin. I had finally found the way out of the mess I was living in. I am now working with other ministers reaching people with addictions in the city and state. I am also being used by God to bring his word to a dying and lost world.

Rev. Matovu is president of Nexus Seminary–is a joint effort of trained Ugandan pastors with U.S. pastors and leaders to lift the education level of Ugandan Church leadership. Pastors and Church leaders can get the education they need to properly lead their Churches. Other Pastors from the U.S. come to teach and to encourage these students. It is a great partnership in which we all grow in our faith and practice.

The Greens, a nationally known Gospel Music ministry from Fulton, N.Y., will present a Christian Music concert at the Greater Victory Fellowship Church located at 2056 County Route 2 in Orwell, NY, on Sunday evening January 9th, at 7pm. Pastor Scott Hardy, cordially invites the public to attend this fee concert. The vocal duo is composed of Les Green, who sang for many years with the award winning quartet “The Envoys,” and his wife Linda, who added her true Alto voice in 1986. Each year, The Greens perform in over 200 churches, Gaither TV programs, and other special meetings, preaching and singing The Great News of Jesus Christ in a variety of musical styles ranging from Bill Gaither to lively Southern Gospel. Each concert is a delightful blend of the different styles, with The Greens skillfully weaving their own pre-recorded voices to their live performance, creating beautiful, yet lively, trios and quartets. Greater Victory Fellowship will be changing their Sunday evening format from a traditional preaching service to an active Bible study. Walking Through the Word will provide an opportunity for those wanting a better understanding of the Scriptures to be challenged, be encouraged, and get their questions answered.

“Topical sermons are important,” says Rev. Tracy Drake, a licensed minister with the church and primary moderator of the study. “It’s also important to go through the entire Bible for context – but it’s a big book – so we’re going to break it down into manageable portions and hopefully have some fun going through it together.”

Each session starts at 7:00 pm and will provide fifteen minutes of praise and worship music, fifteen minutes to address prayer requests, and a forty-five minute study of the Bible, beginning in the New Testament Book of Matthew.

Rev. Scott Hardy, senior pastor of the Orwell church said, “People will be free to leave at the 8:15 pm finish time or they can stay a little longer for snacks and fellowship or get with one of our ministry team for additional prayer if needed.”

Walking Through the Word begins Sunday, November 7 at 7:00 pm and is open to everyone.
