Greater Victory Fellowship will be changing their Sunday evening format from a traditional preaching service to an active Bible study. Walking Through the Word will provide an opportunity for those wanting a better understanding of the Scriptures to be challenged, be encouraged, and get their questions answered.
“Topical sermons are important,” says Rev. Tracy Drake, a licensed minister with the church and primary moderator of the study. “It’s also important to go through the entire Bible for context – but it’s a big book – so we’re going to break it down into manageable portions and hopefully have some fun going through it together.”
Each session starts at 7:00 pm and will provide fifteen minutes of praise and worship music, fifteen minutes to address prayer requests, and a forty-five minute study of the Bible, beginning in the New Testament Book of Matthew.
Rev. Scott Hardy, senior pastor of the Orwell church said, “People will be free to leave at the 8:15 pm finish time or they can stay a little longer for snacks and fellowship or get with one of our ministry team for additional prayer if needed.”
Walking Through the Word begins Sunday, November 7 at 7:00 pm and is open to everyone.
